(keep in mind, i’m not a professional and i am NOT pro ana, this is simply what works for me)
here’s some stuff i do daily/ almost everyday
- green tea! i cannot stress how amazing this stuff is. i usually drink 3-5 cups a day and it’s helped boost my metabolism so much. it’s pretty much made it so that i gain little to no weight if i binge.
- along with the green tea, i drink a full glass of cold water before meals and right before bed. it helps me lose about a pound each night.
- exercise: i try to do 100 jumping jacks and 100 sit ups each day, along with the exercises i posted on here a few posts back. also, spreading out your workouts ( ex: 25 sit ups in the morning, 25 more before lunch, etc) is more effective than doing it all at once.
- don’t forget to take vitamins
- keep track of everything. stay on top of how many calories you consume each day and how you’ll burn them. in addition, writing down your weight every day is a good way to track your progress.
- stop drinking calories. backing off the starbucks and soda can take some getting used to but trust me, you’ll save a ton of money over time and it’ll be worth it when you see the numbers on the scale dropping.
- strawberries and watermelon are some of my favorite things to eat. both are super low cal, strawberries help boost your metabolism, and watermelon is pretty much water.
- epsom salt baths! taking one 30-45 minute bath with two cups of this stuff can help me lose 1-2 pounds and i try to do this once or twice a week. you can find a huge bag of it at target for like $4.
okay here are the things i do to distract myself from food
- epsom salt baths. see the tip right above this one.
- weed. this only works if you’re like me and you don’t get the munchies when you’re high. i have a wax pen and if i’m having really gnarly cravings, i take a few hits and i forget my cravings and i’m too lazy to get up and eat anyway. please don’t smoke cigs as a way to decrease your appetite, i cannot stress how bad that is for you.
- face masks! sounds weird, but it’s a great distraction. you can find them for under $2 at walmart or target and they usually need to stay on for 15 minutes, which is about as long as it takes to kill cravings anyway. not to mention they’re great for your skin and it’ll help you appreciate yourself more.
- sleep
- do that thing you’ve been meaning to do forever. clean out your closet, do that one homework assignment you’ve been avoiding all week, do chores, etc. you’ll thank yourself later.
- some other things to do include: see if you can fill an entire paper with doodles, listen to an album you haven’t listened to in ages, look at stuff you want to buy online (or buy it, if you have money lol), write in a journal, go for a walk, learn a new way to braid your hair, etc. anything that keeps your mind off of food.
and some tips about fasting
- i do two 24 hour fasts each week (i’d go longer but i’m an athlete and i can’t practice on an empty stomach).
- to help me stick to my fasts, i make a plan for how i’m going to finish them (ex: i’m going to end my fast with a nutrition bar for breakfast tomorrow morning). this prevents me from ending my fasts early.
- be very careful with your fasts! never exceed 72 hours and remember that it’s completely okay to eat something if you feel faint or dizzy. we want skinny, not dead.
that’s all i can think of at the moment, but thanks for reading if you got this far. feel free to send me asks if you have any questions, and comment any of your own tips if you have any! stay safe lovelies <3
